Spirit Dancer Flutes

The Enchanter Flute®, created by Ernest Spirit Dancer Olivas, is named for the   Enchanting Desert Southwest. Each flute is unique and one of a kind. These flutes replicate the sound of the first Native flute, the rim blown Anasazi flute, which is very difficult to play. Ernest has recreated the sound of the ancients with a modern mouthpiece making it easier to play. It has a deep, haunting, and breathy sound, ergonomic finger holes, and offers a whole new way of playing for intermediate and advanced players.

Helen is the only retail outlet for these specialized flutes, the first Official Enchanter Flute® Instructor, and she and her students and are the first Official Clan of the Enchanters, a nickname lovingly given them by the maker.

Carl Young Flutes

Made with unique woods, these hand crafted one of a kind flutes have their own individual voices. Available in different keys, Carl’s “Woodland” style flutes all have a mellow full sound. You can hear many voices, even in the same key. Carl does not stain, paint, or embellish his flutes, preferring to bring out the beauty and color of the natural grain patterns. He uses a botanical based Tung oil / Sealer which retains the beauty of the tree from which it came. The look and feel of these flutes are as beautiful as their voices. Carl’s flutes are revered by many notable flute players.

Carl is the maker of Helen’s treasured apple wood flute collection, and has refurbished her vintage flute. Helen is his only retailer and specializes in his stunning shotgun drone flutes.
